Vinformatix spent considerable time exploring public datasets from various government sources, and was searching for ways to demonstrate how these sources could be linked together to provide insights to federal government agencies.

The Vinformatix team prepared an analysis demonstrating how ACS data can be combined with the CDC Behavioral and Risk Factor Surveillance System to highlight issues at the intersection of educational attainment, mental health, and cultural disparities.

This report was presented to a member of the Department of Education. By bringing these public data sources together, Vinformatix demonstrated how such analyses can help government agencies to collaborate on common initiatives, and helps to avoid the creation of “data silos” that slow down the research process.
